Exploiting Long Non-Coding RNAs and Circular RNAs as Pharmacological Targets in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Treatment

چکیده
Breast cancer is one of the most frequent causes death among women worldwide. In particular, triple-negative breast (TNBC) represents aggressive subtype because it characterized by absence molecular targets, thus making an orphan type malignancy. The discovery new druggable targets mandatory to improve treatment success. that context, non-coding RNAs represent opportunity for modulation cancer. They are RNA molecules with apparently no protein coding potential, which have been already demonstrated play pivotal roles within cells, being involved in different processes, such as proliferation, cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, migration, and diseases, including Accordingly, they could be used future TNBC personalized therapy. Moreover, peculiar characteristics make them reliable biomarkers monitor treatment, thus, recurrence or chemoresistance, challenging aspects TNBC. present review, we focused on oncogenic oncosuppressor role long (lncRNAs) circular (circRNAs) mostly TNBC, highlighting their mode action depicting potential a biomarker and/or RNA-based therapeutics.

The Role of Long Non-Coding RNAs in Ovarian Cancer
Background: Ovarian cancer is the most fatal tumor of female's reproductive system, and several genetics and environmental factors are involved in its development. Various studies have already identified suitable biomarkers to facilitate the early detection, prognosis evaluation, and the assessment of treatment response. However, the aim of this review was to investigate the role of long non-co...
متن کاملLong non-coding RNAs and their significance in human diseases
Protein-coding genes account for only a small fraction of the human genome and most of the genomic sequences are transcriptionally silent, but recent observations indicate significant functional elements, including non-coding protein transcripts in the human genome. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been defined as transcripts of >200 nucleotides without protein-coding capacity that perform t...
متن کاملIdentification of novel long non-coding RNAs in triple-negative breast cancer
Triple-negative breast carcinomas (TNBC) are characterized by particularly poor outcomes, and there are no established markers significantly associated with prognosis. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are subclass of noncoding RNAs that have been recently shown to play critical roles in cancer biology. However, little is known about their mechanistic role in TNBC pathogenesis. In this report, we ...

متن کاملRoles and expression profiles of long non‐coding RNAs in triple‐negative breast cancers
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) refers to the breast cancers that express little human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), progesterone receptor (PR) and oestrogen receptor (ER). When compared to other types of breast cancers, TNBC behaves more aggressively with relatively poorer prognosis. Moreover, except chemotherapy, no targeted treatments have been approved yet until now. Altho...
